To use these instructions you will need firstly to accquire a site from Coffsdotcom

There are a number of different options with regard to site names ie coffs.com.au/yourname or yourname.coffs.com.au or yourname.com.au all can be maintained by ftp (Net Objects Fusion, MS Publisher, most html editors) or using Microsoft Front Page

You may connect to the internet using any service provider in the world

If you publish using ftp then the details are
server name : ftp.coffs.com.au
port number : 21
base directory: leave blank to access all folders
username and password as supplied when joining

using frontpage
Open frontpage explorer
open front page web using the full URL ie: http://yoursite.coffs.com.au or http://yoursite.com etc.
enter user name and password when prompted

Mail accounts
your address will be
username@coffs.com.au or yourname@yourserver.com

POP Server: mail.coffs.com.au

SMTP Server: There are two methods

(1) you may use SMTP: mail.coffs.com.au as your outgoing (SMTP) server
You must use your full email address as the username ie yourname@coffs.com.au
You must check the option that says my outgoing server requires Authentication
You must NOT check the option that says Log On Using Secure Password Authentication

(2)Use your ISP's SMTP server eg. if you dial up using 56k TELSTRA Modem connection the mail server
is mail.bigpond.au( your details will be on the configuration details supplied by your Dial Up ISP )
It is faster to use this method but it bypasses the antispam filter also it means that you may not be able to send email whilst travelling. Therefore this is no longer the preferred method

You should also check your mail before sending (Eudora has a checkbox)
username and password as supplied when joining

You may use CDO SYS to send mails from web forms ASP, however you must use athentication in the script CDOSYS Example
