Pig Island; a short distance from the harbor, is often overlooked, but it can produce good hauls of fish at times, especially after rough seas.
As well as the islands the area has many areas of reef. Some marks have been included on the chart. With the right approach the locals can give the visiting angler many more.
Park Beach Bommie; Not far offshore, this reef is a dependable spot for procuring supplies of live bait, but can also produce snapper, spanish and spotted mackerel as well as longtail tuna. The reef breaks in a moderate swell.
NORTH MARK: Southern end of Coffs Surf Club just showing around the southern end of Little Muttonbird island.
SOUTHERN MARK: Northern Korffs Islet just showing along the eastern tip of big Muttonbird Island.
